Finishing an Uruk-Hai Siege Tower
This is a wonderful little wooden Uruk-Hai siege tower made by a friend of mine. To complete this Uruk-Hai siege tower, I used tooth picks, hot glue gun, snips, water color paper, and scissors.
View of inside of the tower. I still need to paint the ladders that came with the tower.

Texturing a Building
This building was a gift one of my friend's made for me. The design is based on The Lord of The Rings "The Spider Queen's Lair." The brickwork around the door was cut from a cereal box that was glued in place with Tacky glue.
The doors are covered with painters tape to protect them from the texture filler.

How to Sculpt and Paint Barrels and Crates
Use natural air dry modeling clay to sculpt these barrels and crates. For the barrels, I inserted a pencil into a lump of modeling clay and shaped in the form of a barrel. Use an exacto knife to carve the wood planks. The barrel and crate bands were made by rolling lines of clay and then wrapping it around the sculpture. Once the sculpture was completed, I brushed them with a coating of Tacky glue thinned with water. This will help make the sculpture stronger and keep the banding secure.
I used Gimli figure to help me develop the scale of the barrels I sculpted.
